About the job

As an Office Messenger, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication and logistics within the office environment, ensuring the smooth flow of information and materials between departments and external partners. Your role will involve delivering documents, parcels, and messages promptly and efficiently, as well as assisting with basic office tasks as needed. Key responsibilities include:

1. Collecting and delivering documents, packages, and correspondence between departments, offices, and external partners, both within the office building and to other locations as required.

2. Sorting and distributing incoming mail, packages, and faxes to the appropriate recipients or departments.

3. Assisting with office errands such as purchasing office supplies, running banking transactions, or delivering equipment to employees.

4. Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of common areas such as reception, mailroom, and supply closets.

5. Assisting with basic office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and organizing documents as needed.

6. Providing support during meetings or events by setting up rooms, arranging seating, and distributing materials or refreshments.

7. Assisting with basic administrative tasks such as answering phones, taking messages, and directing inquiries to the appropriate person or department.

8. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and security procedures when handling sensitive or confidential documents or materials.

9. Updating records and documentation related to messenger activities, such as delivery logs or inventory lists.

10. Upholding professional conduct and customer service standards, and representing the organization in a positive and courteous manner at all times.

Skill Requirements

1. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required for messenger duties involving driving).

2. Basic knowledge of office procedures and protocols.

3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact politely and professionally with colleagues and external contacts.

4. Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry parcels and packages of varying weights.

5. Dependability and reliability in attendance and punctuality.
