About the job

As an Office Caterer, you will be responsible for providing catering services to the office, including preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages for meetings, events, and daily staff meals. Your role will involve planning menus, sourcing ingredients, and ensuring the quality, variety, and presentation of food offerings meet the needs and preferences of employees. Key responsibilities include:

1. Planning and coordinating menus for office meals, events, and special occasions, taking into account dietary restrictions, preferences, and budgetary constraints.

2. Purchasing, receiving, and inspecting food and beverage supplies to ensure freshness, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

3. Preparing and cooking meals, snacks, and beverages according to established recipes, portion sizes, and food safety guidelines.

4. Setting up and arranging food displays, buffet stations, and serving areas to enhance presentation and appeal.

5. Serving food and beverages to office staff, guests, and visitors during meal times, meetings, or events, ensuring prompt and courteous service.

6. Monitoring food consumption and inventory levels, and replenishing supplies as needed to meet demand.

7. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with sanitation standards.

8. Collaborating with office managers, event planners, and staff to coordinate catering logistics and accommodate special requests or dietary needs.

9. Providing exceptional customer service and responding promptly to feedback or inquiries from clients and guests.

10. Adhering to food safety regulations, health codes, and licensing requirements, and maintaining records of compliance.

Skill Requirements

1. Proven experience in food preparation, catering, or culinary arts, preferably in a hospitality or food service setting.

2. Knowledge of food safety principles, sanitation practices, and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.

3. Strong culinary skills, including proficiency in cooking techniques, recipe execution, and menu planning.

4. Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation and garnishing.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, guests, and colleagues.

6. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

7. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying hours and occasional evening or weekend events.

8. Physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, and carry heavy trays or equipment as needed.
