About the job

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

1. Recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries, in accordance with established procedures and accounting standards.

2. Reconciling bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

3. Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.

4. Analyzing financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

5. Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing financial projections and providing input on revenue and expense estimates.

6. Supporting external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as needed.

7. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax laws.

8. Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, operations, and procurement, to gather and analyze financial information and support decision-making.

9. Participating in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.

10. Staying informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
